It’s Time To Show Your Austin Pride – The Best Pride Events

No matter who or what or why you are, it’s time to show your Austin pride! Break out your rainbow colored gear and get ready to Keep Austin Queer’d. That’s the theme of this year’s parade and celebration which will bring thousands together in downtown Austin.

Here are the details on the official Austin Pride celebration!

Where: Fiesta Gardens, 2101 Jesse Segovia Street
When: Saturday, August 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What to Expect: A whole lot of fun – details below.

The daytime event will include: FREE inflatable games, carnival rides, drag queen story time, 100+ vendor booths, drinks, food, and more!

And that’s not all. Thousands more will join for the pride parade!

Where: Congress Avenue / Warehouse District
When: Saturday, August 12 from 8 to 11 p.m.

The parade, which is FREE and open to the public, kicks off at the Texas State Capitol Building and marches down Congress Avenue, ending on the Ann Richards Bridge. The route includes two emcee stage, one at the intersection of Congress and 4th, and one on the roof top at Rain!

Pride at Caroline and Upstairs at Caroline
Now through August 20 | 621 Congress Avenue

Now through August 20, 15% of sales from Caroline and Upstairs at Caroline’s Pride cocktails and Coffeehouse at Caroline’s Pride pastries will be donated to Equality Texas. All Pride cocktails and pastries will be offered all week. Both Caroline and Upstairs at Caroline will offer specialty cocktails, including a Rainbow Ranch Refresher upstairs where you pick your tequila, pick a color, and enjoy your custom pride cocktail! On August 12, Upstairs at Caroline will have live music and entertainment starting in the evening. Stop by before or after the parade!

Make Your Pride Magnifique Chambord Event
Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13 | from 3 to 8 p.m. | Estelle’s, 400 Colorado Street

Join Chambord and iconic drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race for a pride-filled cocktail class. Whether you’re a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally, they want you to show up and serve! Happening on August 12 and 13, cocktail classes will be hosted by the fabulous drag queen Cynthia Lee Fontaine! They’ll be serving up the Chambord ‘Berry Proud’ margarita, and you know they’ll be bringing their A-game. Classes will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. each day, run every half hour, and are limited to 20 people per class. No need to pre-register.

Hyatt Centric Pride Parade Event
Saturday, August 12 | at 7 p.m. | 721 Congress Avenue

Join Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin on Saturday, August 12 for a night full of refreshments, music and tasty treats while celebrating Austin’s Pride Parade. The evening will begin at 7 p.m. at Hyatt Centric Austin’s ground-floor restaurant, Luminaire, where attendees can enjoy light bites and cocktails alongside beats from DJ Tony Castro. Chops and house-made sausage on the grill at Luminaire will be $5 each. There will be frozen drinks and Lalo Tequila will be onsite with a paleta cart filled with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cool treats. As the parade kicks off at 8 p.m., attendees can head to the eighth floor to catch the perfect view of the Austin Pride Parade and celebrate the night with DJ Jonah Custer, who will be spinning the whole night, from 7 p.m. to midnight. There will also be a Lalo bar cart pouring tequila for guests. Throughout the festivities, Hyatt Centric Austin’s second floor will serve as a cooling station that will offer refreshing beverages and a break from the Texas heat. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to get a good spot to watch the parade. 

Pride TEA Dance & Parade Viewing Party!
Saturday, August 12 | from 5 to 11 p.m. | 800 Congress Avenue

The Equality Alliance (TEA) is thrilled to announce the second edition of our Pride TEA DANCE, taking place on August 12, during the Austin Pride Parade. Join for an unforgettable evening filled with electrifying performances by your beloved local queens, alongside the exceptional talent of your host Vylette Ward and International DJ Alex Acosta! Pride Pool Party with Chubbies
Saturday, August 12 | from 6 to 9 p.m. | Austin Motel, 1220 South Congress Avenue

Party with Chubbies at the Austin Motel. The event will feature: unlimited pool dips, tunes provided by DJ @xoyish, frozen cocktails from the Pool Bar, free So Gay Rose, and a Chubbies pop-up shop. If you would like to attend the pool party, you will need to RSVP and purchase a ticket in advance where 100% of all ticket sales will be donated to Foundation 43 – the nonprofit founded by Chubbies to provide access to effective mental health care and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth.

Bounce Motel – Pride Edition Hosted by Big Freedia
Sunday, August 13 | from 2 to 6 p.m. | Austin Motel, 1220 South Congress Avenue

Big Freedia and Friends host the Austin Pride edition of The Bounce Motel. This series is a celebration of movement, music and culture; an oasis of joy and gyration. On Sunday, the Queen of Bounce Herself Big Freedia is hosting the ultimate pride adjacent party with her DJ and friends. Tickets are $20 and $5 of each ticket sold will go to TENT, the Transgender Education Network of Texas. Buy tickets HERE.
